LED strip lights are becoming a popular and modern choice for homeowners. They can add brightness to areas of your home and have a variety of features depending on the ones you purchase.
Many LED strip lights change colours thanks to a remote control, which also means being able to control the brightness. Some brands also give you the option to control them via an app or devices such as amazon alexa or Google home. They can also be cut to size to fit in the space required.
There are many clever LED strip lighting placement ideas here are some fun ways you can use them in your home whether indoor or outdoors. Below are some of my favourite ideas I've come across.
Stairs
The stairs are one of the popular places to install them. It's no surprise since it's an area where lighting is key. With LED strip lights it means you don't need to be turning hall lights on, and disturbing your household in the night. Ours are attached to the skirting board however you can attach them to the handrail or between steps.
Shelves
Adding strip lighting to shelves is another great option. It's a great way to showcase your favourite books, art work, collectables etc.
The kitchen
LED strip lights are a great option for the kitchen. You can add them so they are above your kitchen work tops. Another option is to add them to your kick boards which is where I really want to get some installed.
Your TV
If you are like me and enjoy watching TV with no lights on than you need LED strip lights. Watching TV in the dark is bad for your eyes so as well as being an attractive decor piece it lessens eye strain, so it's a win, win.
Your bed
The bedroom should be a place to relax and unwind. Adding LED lighting is a great way to give a peaceful atmosphere. Adding lighting strips to your headboard will give this space a beautiful glow which will reflect up the wall. You can also install strip lighting on the underside of your bed frame.
