If you are lucky enough to have a garden and a patio area, it's the perfect place for enjoying time outdoors. It may not seem like that though if its looking a bit neglected. We are making our patio area more inviting for the summer months ahead.
The great thing is that there are some simple ways to make it a more inviting area.
Add some privacy
If your garden is overlooked by your neighbours then you may feel a bit uncomfortable sitting out there especially if your neighbours are out in their garden at the same time. A way to make it more private is by adding a trellis or even by getting a privacy screen.
Make sure you have a shaded area
When it gets to the hottest part of the day it's important to have a shaded area so you can still enjoy being outside. A couple of options to consider are getting an awning or gazebo or a big umbrella. It's worth researching what will be best for you. With an umbrella you can move it around easily unlike the other two options for example.
Plants/planters
Plants really are a great way of adding some colour to your garden. We are the process of filling up our planters and most recently have purchased a greenhouse.
Outdoor decor
It's time to get out those outdoor rugs, cushions, throws and other fun garden decor pieces. It makes a huge difference to the area.
Lights
String lights are a great little touch and create a relaxing ambiance at night. Lanterns, solar lights and remote control candles are all a lovely option to consider as well.
