How does an air fryer work?

Air fryers have been gaining popularity in recent months due to the cost of living crisis. They are praised for using less energy than powering your oven. If you haven’t used an air fryer before then you might be wondering how does an air fryer work?

Air fryers are a type of fryer that uses hot air to cook food. They are much more energy efficient than deep fryers and pressure cookers. They also act like a mini oven, despite the fact that they have ‘fryer’ in the name.

Air fryers use convection heat for cooking food, instead of using oil that you do for deep fat fryers and pressure cookers. This means that they can be used to make foods that are typically fatty for example chips or fried chicken without the added fat. The downside is that they can take longer to cook than other types of fryer, but it is still much faster than baking or boiling food. They also usually have a smaller cooking capacity which means you will need more time if you want to make large quantities of food. Although as a family of 3 we find it's ideal for us.

Air Fryers are great for people who want healthier options for cooking their favourite fried food, but don't want the hassle of using an oven, or those looking to save money on their energy bills.

How does an air fryer Work?

As mentioned above an air fryer uses hot air to cook food. This cooking technique is different from other types of cooking methods because you don't need to use any oil or grease.

The hot air circulates around the food, giving the food a crispy outer layer without the need for oil or grease. An air fryer also cooks foods faster than an oven or hob and uses less energy than an oven - helping people to cut down their energy bills.

The Benefits of Air Frying Your Food

The main benefit of using an air fryer is that air frying is a much more healthier alternative to deep frying. It uses alot less oil and doesn't produce as many calories. Which is definitely a win for us!

Air fryers are different from regular fryers because they don't use as much oil. They use hot air to cook your food instead, which means you get the same taste without all of the calories or fat. Air frying is also easier than deep frying because it only requires one bowl, one pan, and one pot for cooking.

It is also cheaper to use your air fryer than an entire oven, as you don’t need to heat up such a large area.

Why You Should Try Making Your Next Meal Using An Air Fryer

Air fryers are becoming an increasingly popular kitchen gadget. They are a great way to make crispy, delicious meals that taste just as good as deep-fried food. As they don't take up a lot of space in your kitchen, they are perfect for people with small kitchens or who live in flats.

Air fryers can be used for all kinds of foods including chicken wings, chips and vegetables like sweet potatoes and broccoli. One of my favourite things o use our air fryer for is jacket potato's as they are so much quicker to do than in the oven and much more softer and cripser than when done in a microwave.

The cooking time is usually less than using a traditional oven, so you won’t have to wait very long before you can enjoy your meal, and you will be able to save money on your energy bills by using an air fryer.

If you are considering purchasing an air fryer than its a good idea to what you need to consider when buying an air fryer and what types of air fryers there are.
